Site Preparation and Groundwork
From the first clear-out and knock-down to the last trim, we hand over tidy ground the next trade can start on.
Services
We line up the crew, the machines and the fine print that take an Auckland job from untouched ground to finished levels.
One crew for the ground
Hardly any site needs just one thing done. Because we handle it all, we can plan clearing, excavation, drains, cartage and finished grades as a single job, with fewer handovers, less standing around and less redoing work.
Getting Auckland Earthworks Services from one crew means one point of contact, from the first scrape to the last trim.
Six areas of work, one crew
From the first clear-out and knock-down to the last trim, we hand over tidy ground the next trade can start on.
Trenches, subgrade, levels and service runs, organised so each stage lines up with the crew that follows.
Stormwater set-ups that suit the soil, the access and the site, and keep doing their job long after we leave.
Digs cut to line and level, whether it’s a house pad, footings, a pool or a large bulk earthmoving job.
Machines hired out with an experienced operator and the right attachments, whether the site is wide open or tight.
Larger-scale earthworks and sediment control, planned with council requirements in view and recorded clearly.
First call to final check
Hold-ups usually trace back to something nobody put in writing. So every job, large or small, runs through these four steps.
We go through your notes, photos and plans, then check the way in, the levels, the soil and what you want at the end.
You get a written quote listing the plant, spoil handling, what’s included and any consents or locates still needed.
The entry is protected, buried services are marked out and the work is carried out to the agreed levels and finish.
Before we pack up, we check levels, drain falls, the tidy-up and anything left outstanding with you.
Inside every quote
With the scope on paper, you can compare prices like for like and spot where any extra cost might come from.
Which tasks, levels and finish are covered — plus anything we’ve left out on purpose — agreed in writing before booking.
The plant and attachments we’ve allowed for, picked to suit your gateway, the reach needed and how much has to move.
Whether dug material stays on site, gets spread or is carted off, and what each option costs you.
The ground conditions the price is based on, so if something changes you can see why and we talk it through first.
Plant and attachments
We choose plant by the gateway width, the reach, the soil, how much needs to move and the finish you need, not by what’s sitting idle. It’s all operated hire, so every machine comes with an operator who knows it inside out.

Send the site address, plans or rough dimensions, access width, a few photos, when you’d like the work done and whether spoil can stay on site.
Not always. Simpler jobs can often be priced from plans and photos, but sites with awkward access or a complicated scope are usually worth a visit first.
It depends on Auckland Council’s rules, your property and the scope of the job. Check what applies before anything starts—we can help you work out what to ask the council.
Suitable spoil can stay on site to be reused or spread; otherwise we arrange proper cartage and disposal. Whatever we agree on is written into your quote.
Service plans and on-site locating need sorting before any digging, starting with a beforeUdig request. The right locating method depends on the site and the asset owner.
